Join RPCVSF at Greynolds Park in NE Miami-Dade to enjoy a picnic, birdwatching, walking the trails, exploring the castle and other activities at the park, or just relax and chat with old and new friends. Bring your family and friends!
Details: We have rented Pavilion #2 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The grill will fire-up at 12:30 for lunch. Use the shelter as long as you want between those hours.
Bring a dish to share and a beverage* for you and your family and friends. RPCVSF will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, buns, condiments, charcoal for the grill and grilling utensils. We will also have water and iced tea. There is no electricity or running water at the shelter, but there are restrooms nearby. You can bring a lawn chair to relax or for more elbow room if the picnic tables are in heavy use.
Directions: Greynolds Park is on W. Dixie Highway, which is West of US 1. Please use the main entrance, which is on the NW side of the park (NE 185th St and NE 22nd Ave). Pavilion 2 is a short drive from the entrance. The road will curve to the right which is when you should look for a place to park. We're the first one on the left after the first turn. It's set back from the road, but not far. This is an area with nice shade and there shouldn't be any iguanas.
Parking: $10 per car using Pay by Phone
